A Guide

Vermont is one of the most beautiful corners of the United States, and I’m so lucky to call it home, and to be a Vermont elopement photographer. In this guide I’ll help walk you through what eloping in Vermont can look like and how you can make it your own.

Choose a Date and Location

This may be the trickiest part about eloping in Vermont. There are endless gorgeous locations to share vows. Scroll down for a list of some of my favorite spots.

II

GET your marriage license

If you’re coming from out of town, you can go to any town clerk to obtain your marriage license. If you live in Vermont, you need to get your marriage license from the town you have residence.

III

GET MARRIED!

You’ll need an officiant to oversee your vows and ceremony, but you’re in luck, because I’m an elopement photographer, but also an ordained minister that can sign your marriage license! Generally, most clients will share their vows, exchange rings, seal it with a kiss – and I’ll sign it once the formalities are over.

IV

RETURN MARRIAGE LICENSE

Your marriage license just needs to be filed back at the town clerk from which you got it. I’m happy to help facilitate!
